With 350,000 iPhone Apps and 65,000 iPad Apps available in App Store so far (dated on 16/5/2011), the growing figures means no limit to what iPad can do. While hundreds of thousands Apple developers are working busy on uploading their works, we decide to reward the programmers- Paid for the Apps.
Transforming a computer language to an elegant App requires a long time investemnet. If you design to run an one-off App and dispose it after the activity, we strongly recommend you to choose Web App. You will be paying only a small amount of the development cost but enjoying a custom App having native iPad look and feel.
What is Web App? based on the official definition shown in Apple.com, it is:
“Web applications — or web apps — combine the power of the Internet with the simplicity of Multi-Touch technology, all on a 3.5-inch screen. iPhone and iPod touch let you easily flick through news on Digg, play Sudoku or Bejeweled with a finger tap, and quickly check movie times, train schedules, and favorite blogs.”
Web App is more than a “Web Page”, which CANNOT ”turn a page with a flick”. Web Page is opened in Safari, but Web App has its App icon and run in both online and offline modes.
